Transcript: Magnus Archives: Episode 39 – Infestation

Instead of using one of the provided audios we were given, I wanted to use an audio of my own. In my chosen audio, the original scene has a dark and serious tone to it between two characters who have been separated from their colleagues/ friends during a ‘worm attack’.
Sketches listening to audio:
When first listening to the audio, my initial plan was to make it fit the horror and dark tone thus sketching something with more serious and dire facial expressions however, after some discussion, I wanted to try a different approach, looking at the audio from a new angle and thinking of what this scene could be a part of if it wasn’t already part of the podcast story.

What to include in my animation:
- Illustrative lineart/ texture (Like pencil or watercolour???)
- Mainly mellow/ muted tones with vibrant colours for contrast maybe?? Red/ yellow alarms lights for the fire alarm?
- Simple shapes for characters (Nothing too complicated)
